In spite of man's negative influences, the world beyond our shores is still a fantastic place to visit and photograph, with surprises at every turn.  As a tour leader and photographer for more than 20 years, Mike has travelled to some of the world’s fantastic locations in search of animals, birds and wild places. 

Mike has decided that group excursions overseas with the exception of a trip to India are on hold for 2009.  The decision, albeit difficult, has been brought about by the world's economic difficulties coupled with concern not to disappoint fellow travellers.  Additionally there is an ever increasing demand to supply stock and satisfy commission workload here in the UK.   Visit our trips page for details of UK arrangements for 2009.

Mike will, as usual, run spring and autumn photo courses at Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Norfolk.  In addition, a new venture is launched offering courses at the Lower Mill Estate, Gloucestershire.

If your need is for a skilled and experienced wildlife photographer to fulfill a commission, you have come to the right place!  Commissions play an important part in Mike’s year.  Recently completed assignments include conservation grade farming and wildlife, species reintroduction programmes, and other conservation themed projects.

2009 will be another busy year working with the BBC as Wildlife Consultant in the production of the Springwatch programme from Pensthorpe Nature Reserve in North Norfolk.
