Photography workshops at Pensthorpe, Norfolk for 2012
Mike will be on hand throughout each course to inspire and help you with your photographic technique. Join Mike to photograph stunning bird models, small mammals,insects and beautiful orchids together with spring flowers, autumn colours and wild birds.
Each workshop costs £80 per person including a light lunch.
April 18th - wild walk with your camera in spring
Capture the first of the season's wild flowers, the reserve's private woodland and pingo ponds. We shall also have exclusive use of the woodland hide to capture natural images of wild birds.

May 9th - owl and bluebells
Capture stunning wide angle and close up images of bluebells in a woodland glade. We shall also photograph one of the reserve's owls in natural settings amongst the bluebells and in woodland.

wild orchids and owl - date to be announced
Special access will be arranged for you to capture close up and wide angle images of the reserve's many species of amazing orchids and insects that come to the meadow. We shall also photograph the reserve's barn owl in the meadow, and will place the bird in trees to allow you to capture varied natural images of this stunning bird.

June 23rd - migrant moths and harvest mice
Images of harvest mice are perennial favourites, we shall collect native plants and cornfield plants and build sets to show these enchanting mammals at thier best. We shall also photograph stunning migrant hawkmoths captured overnight in our moth traps.

October 20th - little owl and harvest mice
Join mike to capture images of Pensthorp's little owl in natural settings. In addition we shall photograph harvest mice in specially prepared natural sets.

November 17th - how to photograph birds in your garden
Explore with mike the techniques to help you make natural images of birds in your garden. Topics covered will include the best camera and lens arrangements, backgrounds, the use of light both natural and flash. In the afternoon we will have exclusive use of the woodland bird hide to try out the techniques learned during the morning. The day will provide you with all the techniques you need to make great bird pictures during the coming winter.
